Sanvira is one of the leading manufacturers of Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC). It has an aggregate global CPC capacity of 990,000 MTPA with plants in India and Oman. Sanvira is projected to increase its aggregate global CPC capacity to 1,300,000 MTPA by end of 2024. Sanvira is in the process of constructing a Baked Anode plant with capacity of 300,000 MTPA.

In addition, Sanvira produces 40,000 MTPA of Electrically Calcined Anthracite.

We also produce high purity lime products through its subsidiary Siriman Chemicals India Pvt Ltd.

This information is stored in IT systems to ensure the traceability of each production lot.

health & Safety

The health and safety of our employees and partners is the company’s top priority. Sanvira is a zero liquid and zero solid discharge plant. We scrub SOx utilizing an advanced dry scrubber and utilizing high purity reagents that allow for substantive capture of SOx emissions. Our waste heat recovery plants reduce our carbon footprint substantively, allowing us to be energy self-sufficient and while generating surplus energy that offsets fossil fuel-based power.

Calcining & Power plants

“Sanvira has an aggregate capacity of 990,000 MTPA supported by modern, flexible plants with state of the art technology and a high degree of automation. Sanvira will expand its CPC manufacturing capacity to 1,300,000 MTPA by the end of 2024.

Plants are strategically located in regions driving growth of global aluminum and steel production ensuring a more seamless supply chain for our regional and global customers

Vizag: Sanvira operates 330,000 MTPA of Vertical Shaft Kiln capacity. The plant is close to 2 world class ports – Visakhapatnam and Gangavaram, allowing for efficient access to GPC imports. Close proximity to aluminum smelters and steel mills allow for prompt timely customer service. Sanvira has the capability to expand this site to 460,000 MTPA in response to market conditions

Sohar, Oman: Sanvira has an aggregate capacity of 570,000 MTPA, with vertical shaft kiln capacity of 320,000 MTPA and Rotary kiln capacity of 250,000 MTPA. This is the first site to deploy dual technologies and has the capability to provided tailored, pre-blended products. Proximity to the world class Port of Sohar ensures efficiency in handling imports and exports. Sohar plant is developed by Sanvira Carbon (FZC) LLC, a JV company owned by Sanvira, TANMIA (an Omani government owned investment fund) and UBT (Omani chemical manufacturing company).

Power Plants: Waste Heat Recovery-Based Power Plants

  • Vizag: Sanvira operates a 14 MW power plant.
  • Sohar: Sanvira operates a 28 MW power plant

Quick Lime & Hydrated lime

  • Vizag: Sanvira is a 50:50 equity partner in Siriman Chemicals Private Limited with Chememan Company Limited (a Thailand domiciled company and a leader in lime mining and manufacturing).
  • Siriman operates a Quicklime facility with a capacity of 50,000 MTPA and a Hydrated lime facility with a capacity of 33,000 MTPA.
  • Plant utilizes advanced, high energy efficiency, regenerative kilns and a two-stage hydrator.
